New phone export checklist
A new phone starts a new record — export first if you want your history to move with you.
- Take an encrypted backup of the whole record. It is free whenever you want one, subscribed or not.
- Export the sealed reports. Reports you have already compiled stay yours to read, print and send forever.
- Open the files on another screen before you wipe the old phone. Confirm the dates run in order.
- Set up the new phone. It starts a new record; carry the exported files with you on paper or in your own storage.
The record stays out of your backups on purpose, so no copy of your symptom history ever sits in iCloud. That shelter is exactly what makes the export step necessary.
