glossary · NICE’s position, in NICE’s words, with the record you bring

What to bring to the sixth appointment.

NICE guideline NG73 is the UK national guideline on endometriosis. Section 1.2.1 asks a clinician to suspect endometriosis when one or more listed features is present. It is NICE’s position, not this app’s, and Endonem keeps a record you can bring so that conversation starts from dated entries rather than memory.

Years of ‘it’s probably nothing’ are hard to argue with from memory. NG73 sets the bar for suspicion; the record shows what happened.

Frequently asked questions

What is NICE guideline NG73?

NICE, the UK’s national guideline body, asks a clinician to suspect endometriosis when one or more of the listed features is present (NG73 section 1.2.1). That is NICE’s position.

Is that the app’s opinion?

No. It is NICE’s position, never the app’s. The app keeps the record; the guideline belongs to NICE.

What do I bring to that conversation?

A dated account: what hurt, where, how badly, for how long, and what you took with whether it helped, plus up to three questions built from the record.

Does Endonem give me a diagnosis?

Endonem is a record, not a diagnosis. It does not detect, diagnose, treat, cure or prevent endometriosis or any other condition, and nothing in it is medical advice.
